Overview
QA CoPlayer respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using QA CoPlayer, you agree to the practices described here.
Security & data handling
QA CoPlayer is designed so that your sensitive data stays under your control:
- Files stay in your browser: CSV, Excel, and text files you upload are parsed and stored locally in your browser's memory. They are never uploaded to QA CoPlayer servers or stored in the cloud.
- SQL runs locally: Queries are executed by an in-browser SQL engine (AlaSQL). No query results or raw row data leave your device.
- Only schema metadata goes to AI: When you use the NLQ → SQL or BI Report features, only table names, column names, column types, and up to a few sample values are sent to the AI service so it can generate SQL. The full dataset is not transmitted.
- Session-only storage: Uploaded data exists only for the current browser session. Reloading the page clears it. We do not persist your files on our servers.
- Google sign-in only: We use Google OAuth for authentication. We do not store passwords.
- Payments: UPI payments are handled outside the app via your own UPI app. We do not store card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank details.
What we collect
- Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. We use this only to authenticate you and identify your account.
- Uploaded data: CSV and other data files you upload are processed locally in your browser. The full contents of your files are not uploaded to QA CoPlayer servers.
- AI query metadata: To generate natural-language queries and visualizations, only column names and a small number of sample values are sent to our AI service. Complete datasets are never sent.
- Usage data: We may collect basic diagnostic and usage information to keep the service reliable and secure.
How we use your information
- Authenticate users and maintain secure access.
- Process uploaded data locally in the browser.
- Generate AI-powered responses using only dataset metadata.
- Improve reliability, fix issues, and provide customer support.
Data storage and retention
Uploaded files stay in your browser during analysis and are not permanently stored on QA CoPlayer servers. Reloading the page clears them. Google account information is retained only while your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
Depending on the cloud providers used (for example, Supabase and the AI provider), data may be processed in data centers located outside your country.
Subprocessors and integrations
QA CoPlayer uses a small number of trusted service providers to operate the app:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and backend hosting.
- Google OAuth — sign-in and account verification.
- Gemini AI — natural-language query and visualization generation using only dataset metadata.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies only as needed for authentication, security, and basic service functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children's privacy
QA CoPlayer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
